A recent post to Battle.net reveals that patch 4.3.2 for ye wolde World of Warcraft will gift players with the ability to form raid groups using the Real ID party feature. Wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, you’ll be able to invite each other into a one cross-realm party and tackle any classic dungeon or raid as a unit. Apparently this will work with the raid finder, but you won’t be able to run Dragon Soul on Normal or Heroic (yet).

It’s a good ‘un, because it’ll no doubt make WoW’s more interesting zones a little easier to access. The less borders between Realms the better, and it’s a move indicative of Blizzard’s wider strategy. You’ve all heard of the BattleTag system which offers a much more singular form of Real ID that represents you in-game as well as Blizzard’s store and on the forums, but the Battle.Net balance is also looking to switch things up. Interestingly, it will create a cross-game currency of “Blizzard bucks.” Funds earned in Diablo III, for instance, can also be used in World of Warcraft.
